Antimicrobial potential of Streptomyces isolates from Con Dao National Forest

Streptomyces are considered the most potential microbes with ability to produce antimicrobial and anticancer agents. These bacteria found mostly in soil across globe play a pivotal role material recycling processes. Isolation of Vietnam has been conducted for years. However, there few investigations on protected regions which have very little exchanging activities. This project aims explore resource activity isolated from Con Son Island (Con Dao). Eighteen samples were collected different surface lands Dao cleaned prior culturing isolation. Twenty-five isolates (named C1 C25) obtained ISP4 agar plates stored glycerol 30% at -80oC. Liquid cultures established 3 media (ISP4, Gause I TSB) all isolates. Broth stationary phase was extracted ethyl acetate ratio 1:1 (v/v) followed tests against three bacterial two fungal microorganisms (S. aureus, B. subtilis, E. coli, C. albicans, A. parasiticus). Sixty percent show least one microbe. The C13, C22 C24 showed inhibit both fungi tested. Results C13 express remarkable prevent growth subtilis respectively. study suggests investigated area recommends more optimization culture condition as well extractions other solvents get better
